PRO SETUP

From your purchase to the first Pro preview.

A paid license and the Premium plugin package work together. Keep a current backup and try the installation on staging before making bulk changes to a live catalogue.

1. Find the purchase and Premium download

Use the purchase email and its buyer-account link to locate the CertaCart Premium ZIP and license details. Check spam if the email has not arrived. If the purchase or download is missing, contact support from the checkout email address with the order reference; do not buy a second license just to retry.

The WordPress.org package contains the Free code. Entering a paid key does not add the missing Premium files to that ZIP. Use the Premium download supplied for your purchase.

2. Install the ZIP in WordPress

Confirm that WooCommerce is active and sign in with an account allowed to install plugins. Open Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin, choose the Premium ZIP, then install and activate it. Keep the ZIP compressed. For an existing Premium installation, verify the product and version before accepting a replacement.

CertaCart 1.0.3 includes an activation handoff that deactivates the Free package when Premium takes over. Check Installed Plugins afterwards: only the intended CertaCart package should be active. If activation fails or both remain active, stop and contact support with the exact error. Do not delete plugin data as an activation workaround.

3. Activate and verify the license

Follow the license-activation prompt provided by the installed package and use the license associated with the purchase. Verify the product, subscription status and available site allowance in your Freemius buyer account. Keep license keys out of screenshots and public support posts.

If Pro controls are missing, first check that the Premium package—not only Free—is installed, that the license is active, and that the site allowance is available. For a connection failure, include the exact message and ask your host to inspect outbound HTTPS access; do not disable TLS verification.

4. Confirm the handoff without writing product data

Open WooCommerce → CertaCart and verify that your existing fields and scan history are still present. Create a profile from reviewed source data, select a small deliberate Product ID or SKU set, and inspect the preview before applying anything.

After a confirmed apply, inspect the result, re-scan and check the storefront. Profile Undo is available only while its operation snapshot remains available and skips fields changed after apply. CSV apply has no Undo; keep a restorable database backup.

5. Moving a site, renewal and support

Before moving a license to another domain, review the activated sites in the buyer account. If the old site is no longer using the entitlement, release its activation before activating the replacement. Ask support if you cannot access the old site or are unsure how a staging domain is counted.

Keep the Premium package and an eligible active license in place to receive paid updates. Cancellation stops future renewal; consult the purchase confirmation for the paid-through date. Send support your plugin, WordPress, WooCommerce and PHP versions, the failing step and a redacted error message.
