DOCUMENTATION · CERTACART 1.0.3
Get from installation to the first completed task.
Start with a read-only catalogue scan, work the highest-impact gap, and verify the real storefront output before moving to repeat Pro workflows.
1 · INSTALL
Install the Free release from WordPress.org
Confirm that WooCommerce is active, install CertaCart, and open WooCommerce → CertaCart. Use a current backup and test bulk changes on staging when practical.
Open the WordPress.org listing2 · CHOOSE THE REVIEW PATH
Confirm the catalogue scope—or use the no-score path
Choose whether EU customers can buy the published catalogue. If the answer is not yet known, run the no-score review: CertaCart still checks every supported field and creates ranked tasks while displaying the aggregate score as N/A.
3 · SCAN
Run a local, read-only catalogue scan
The Free browser scan processes published products in resumable batches. Keep the report page open while it runs; reopening the page resumes an active scan. The configurable batch range is 50 to 2,000 products so the store can be tuned for its hosting environment.
4 · COMPLETE A TASK
Start with the highest-impact supported gap
Open the first ranked task, review the affected products, and complete the highlighted manufacturer, EU responsible-person, identifier, safety-information, scope, or display fields. Task counts are de-duplicated by product.
5 · VERIFY OUTPUT
Check the active storefront, not only the admin screen
CertaCart can output configured information automatically, through its dynamic block, or with the [certacart_product_information] shortcode. Manual mode prevents duplicate automatic output. Review the final product page on desktop and mobile because CertaCart does not inspect the theme or page-builder DOM.
6 · REMOVE REPEAT WORK WITH PRO
Preview first, then apply a controlled batch
- 1Create a reusable manufacturer or EU responsible-person profile.
- 2Match the intended products by Product ID or SKU.
- 3Review the exact field-level preview before changing data.
- 4Apply the confirmed batch and inspect applied, skipped, and conflicting items.
- 5Use conflict-safe Undo for supported profile changes while their snapshot is retained.
- 6Run a fresh scan or schedule daily or weekly summaries.
Profile preview accepts up to 5,000 unique Product IDs or SKUs. CSV uploads are limited to 5 MB; dry run supports up to 10,000 rows and each apply request supports up to 1,000 rows. Blank CSV cells leave existing data unchanged unless explicit clearing is enabled. CSV apply has no Undo.

NEXT STEP
Run one task before deciding on Pro
The Free workflow remains useful for scanning, ranked tasks, guided edits, reports, CSV export, and storefront output. Upgrade only when reusable profiles, previewed bulk work, CSV apply, Undo, or scheduled scans remove enough repetition for the store.
